I wrote the song War Rages On the morning I read a newspaper article about a 10 year old girl being struck by a drive-by bullet. She was standing on the front stairs of her home in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. It was her birthday party. She died. I wrote War Rages On to send a message - STOP KILLING OUR CHILDREN. Stop the senseless random violence that is killing innocent children. I wrote this song with a glimmer of hope that a gang banger might think for just a second before he pulls the trigger. Think of the consequences. All the pain and sorrow you would bring to so many people. Think of the people who love you and how they would feel. Think about your own sibling if their life was taken away by a random bullet. Please lay down your gun and the life you save will be your own. Just think. Thats the problem, they don't think, until its too late. Life is a gift. Don't take it away. Its not too late. There are so many kids across the U.S. who want just chance at life but are living in the crossfire of gangland warfare. KOB is the type organization that gives kids that chance. Help KOB - download War Rages On. Thank you Rick Weeds
